Earlier today, after I had read a message from a new LinkedIn connection.  I decided to check out her LinkedIn profile.

For the first time in a very long time, I was engaged and impressed by the profile description text.

I had that feeling inside: “this is someone I need to get to know”.

So, I clicked on the Contact Info button and found her website, clicked on the link and waited for the page to load.

It wasn’t long but after a few seconds of scrolling and clicking around her site, I was left disappointed.

There was hardly any information that helped me learn more about her, her work or the people she helps.

There was no information I could download i.e. she had nothing in place that allowed her to know that I was more than a passing member of web traffic.

I decided to do some quick research using the keywords “website coaching clients” and came across a great post by a guy called Tim Brownson.

The post was entitled “10 Reasons Most Life Coaches Websites Fail”.

These are the 10 reasons coaches websites fail according to Tim (BTW…Mr Brownson is spot on! Apart from point 7. Meh!):
